Till The Son of Man Comes

Keeping The Mission in Context

“When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.”

The mission of the twelve disciples would take them through cities in the land of Israel. As they preached, they would encounter resistance and persecution. Jesus tells them to flee from the persecution and to find refuge in another city, implying within Israel.

Many examples of the apostles flight from one city to another is recorded in Acts. Jesus gave the apostles reassurance that they would always find a place of refuge during those persecutions. They would not have gone through all the cities of Israel before His return, –a clear promise that the event would occur in their lifetime.

Keeping “Audience Relevance” Relevant

Essential to a correct application of these verses is the matter of audience relevance. That term means that we must scripturally identify the people to whom an event was originally spoken. That is a basic principle of proper biblical interpretation. From an interpretive standpoint, it addresses the people who lived in the first century.

Keeping Proper Perspective

When Jesus addressed his apostles with you, it is important that we do not read a modern day twenty first century audience into that text. The apostles were gifted with the Holy Spirit. They worked signs and wonders. They went before the Sanhedrin council. They were brought before kings and governors. Jesus spoke directly to them, –in their lifetime, –in their generation, about His coming which He said would happen before they completely exhausted all the cities of refuge in Israel.

Keeping It Real

Ask yourself whether you were present with Jesus on the occasion the message was spoken? Were you in Israel? Were you persecuted from city to city? (Acts 8:1). If not, then the message wasn’t spoken to you. You would be the remote or secondary audience separated in time by centuries from the original recipients. According to Scripture, we cannot expect the return of Christ to be in our lifetime as it was in theirs.

We conclude that Jesus promised to return in the lifetime of His disciples. He returned before their flight from persecution exhausted all the cities of Israel in which they fled for refuge. Jesus’ return as the Son of man to gave them relief from their persecutions.

Intelligent Design Abstractly Considered for a Moment in Time

Posted November 15th, 2008 by
Categories: World Of Religion

Does the notion of intelligent design make sense from a scientific standpoint? Does intelligent design makes sense from an observational standpoint? One thinker in an online think tank forum stated so. And so the other thinkers responded and considered some of what the other fellow think tanker had commented on. In one response a man posted this comment:

“The intelligent design; that is to say the DNA, reciprocating forces of nature, food chain sustainability and all the balancing forces we rely on for life, do appear to be purposeful. Indeed they are mandatory for our particular life form in the way we are currently set up to live within it. Although that does not automatically assume that there is a God or set of Gods, which is explained in religious doctrines that made it so. Order cannot exist without chaos and chaos would not be definable without order. And without choice, freedom and liberty, life would be unworthy of it all. God, Gods or no God.”

Indeed there are some pretty good observations that could suggest intelligent design, but it seems we are still without the ultimate proof in where is the murder weapon and who would do such a thing? And of course what motive would they have in designing such a system and why would they include these animals and god-forsaken humans and ruin what could have been a very nice almost perfect system? Consider this in 2006.

Categories: World Of Religion

1. Get a life purpose statement.

A well thought out life purpose statement is a powerful way to boost your self-esteem. It will define who you truly are, draw out your essence and affirm you. Whenever you read your life purpose statement, you will be reminded about who you are, what you represent and what you intend to accomplish in life.

2. Take personal development courses.

Investing in the acquisition of knowledge and education will boost your self-esteem many levels higher! This will give you control over your life and you will gain self-confidence that will prepare you to face and deal with anything that comes your way.

3. Take action. Do something for yourself.

Start doing something for yourself. Take positive risks with your life. Don’t live your life in chains. If you want to start a business…do it. Don’t live other peoples dreams. Live out loud, live your dream, do something that you feel is important to you. Make sure you accomplish it.

4. Socialize

Involve yourself actively in matters that interest you. Join clubs, networking organizations, associations or groups of similar interest and participate actively. Being part of a group gives you a sense of belonging, acceptance and appreciation. Knowing that you are part of something important and meaningful, does a lot to boost your self-esteem.

5. Stand up for yourself.

Don’t allow people to put you down and don’t allow other people’s expectations to thwart what you are capable of becoming. Don’t put up with people or situations that negate all the positive things that you can do. Stand up for your dreams!

6. Volunteer to help the less privileged.

Volunteering will give you a sense of fulfillment, accomplishment and appreciation. Giving yourself in service to others is one of the noblest things to do. The look of gratitude on the faces of those that you have helped is enough to boost your self esteem

7. Set personal goals and accomplish them.

Living aimlessly leaves you with a feeling of emptiness and confusion. Goals give you a sense of purpose. They steer your life in a particular direction. They make your life purposeful. Accomplishing personal goals gives your self-esteem a big boost.

Why the Myth of the “ORIGINAL SIN” is Harmful

Posted November 12th, 2008 by
Categories: World Of Religion

The Genesis’ myth of the “fall” of man, i.e. the story of Adam and Eve who, supposedly, committed the “Original Sin” by eating of the forbidden fruit of “the tree of knowledge of good and evil” is not as harmless as many might think.

I believe that humanity has paid and still does a heavy price for the curses Moses has put in God’s mouth, because of the alleged disobedience of Adam and Eve. For it is proven that people become whatever they believe in their heart they are. If people - in our case billions of Bible believers over the centuries - believe that this story is true, then they believe that mankind is “FALLEN” and ACCURSED by its Creator at the very beginning, and so they truly become accursed! I am afraid we cannot ever imagine the enormous negative implications for humankind due to this DECEPTION…

Personally I dismiss the myth of the “original sin” as pure fiction, in which I have difficulty finding any edifying, even far-fetched, allegory. Please think about it: In that story, the “serpent”, i.e. the symbol of Satan, i.e. the “fallen” Archangel Lucifer, tempted Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit, by deceiving her. After their alleged disobedience, Adam and Eve acquired the knowledge of “good” and “evil” and consequently they were “cursed” by God and pushed out of Paradise! According to the Scriptures, in order to rectify this, i.e. to “pay” (whom?) for our sins, God had to later sacrifice His “only begotten Son”, i.e. Christ, who is, supposedly, equal and inseparable to God - a form of suicide!

Let us now assume that Adam and Eve had not disobeyed God by eating of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. What would then have been the state of mankind? What would humans be like without being able to recognize good and evil? The answer is simple: pure idiots. Was this, peradventure, the plan of God for humans? Did the Creator want man to be without consciousness? And if He did, was Satan stronger and cleverer than the Almighty to thwart His master plan for mankind right from the beginning?

All this to me is not only absurd but also a blasphemy against God and an outright belittlement of our CREATOR! The ability of distinguishing between good and evil is, in my opinion, the alpha and the omega of consciousness, and I cannot imagine that the purpose of our Creator was for humans not to have consciousness!

Now, as I do not want to be accused of misinterpreting scripture, I shall quote here the relevant verses from Genesis.

What did the serpent say to Eve?

“For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Gen 3:5

And what did God say after Adam and Eve’s disobedience?

“Then the LORD God said, ‘Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil…’ ” Gen 3:22

So, God confirms here that what was supposed to be the serpent’s lie actually it was the truth! There is no room for misunderstanding what Moses says here. Nor could we be convinced that “knowing” means “committing” in the above verses, because if we take this interpretation of the verb “know” then we conclude that God also sins by “knowing”, i.e. committing, “good and evil”!

But remember: NO ORIGINAL SIN, NO CURSE, NO need for REDEMPTION (by the blood of Jesus) from the curse! In others words, without “original sin” and without “curse”, the foundation of Christianity is crumbling! No wonder Christians hold so fast to this myth…

Let us now, without any preconceived ideas, try to define, or re-define, what is “Sin” or “error” or wrong” or “mistake” or whatever other name one may choose to give it. My definition of “SIN” is: The intentional or unintentional, conscious or unconscious, violation of the unwritten laws of Creation that govern our lives and our relationship with other humans and mother Nature.

I imply that there are certain “specifications” or “laws” that govern our nature. If we step out of these “specifications”, knowingly or unknowingly, intentionally or unintentionally, this causes disharmony and there will be negative consequences for the “transgressor” and others, in the here and now. These negative consequences are what theologians would have us consider as God’s “punishment” for our disobedience!

In my opinion, in order to make sense when we are talking about “sin” or error, we must first get rid of the old idea of “disobedience” of a God separate from us, and we must also get rid of the idea of “punishment”. First of all, though, if humanity is to survive self-destruction, we must learn about our “specifications”. Moreover, we must get rid of the idea of a separate God out there who requires us to obey His commandments or else… We must also get rid of the fear of punishment, grow into adulthood and get on with our main job: learn about the unwritten laws that govern our nature, i.e. our “specifications”, and “tune” into them. If, however, people insist on having a religion, I believe this should be The Religion of the future: to teach people about our “specifications”, always in relation to fellow humans and Nature. E.g. why is anger a “sin”? Because it is not good for one’s health; because when one is angry, the gall bladder reacts in an abnormal way, producing so and so harmful chemicals, etc. (doctors must come into it).

Some say that a person could commit an act that is objectively wrong or illegal, but this might still not be a ’sin’. They believe that it is the subjective aspect of the act that can make it a sin. In other words, it is the knowing and the intention that will classify a certain act as sin or not. Although there is truth in this, I won’t elaborate, as my intention is not to indulge in the old conventional “morality” and concept of “sin” and “punishment” - whether by God or human courts - but in a the concept of cause and effect.

So, then, why killing even accidentally is a “sin”, even if Justice pleads someone innocent? Because even a child might find it difficult to wipe out of his/her imagination and forget the accidental killing he/she committed; one might even be unable to forgive oneself for cutting short another person’s life, causing immense grief to the victim’s relatives, etc. And even if consciously the child might not be able to evaluate the action itself, how little do we know about what might be going on in the child’s subconscious mind, and what the implications will be for his/her future? And how little do we know about the suffering of a soul that was separated from its body in a violent way…

If someone was unaware of the danger and jumped down from the second floor of a building, the same has committed a “sin” against himself. There will be negative consequences. Ignorance of the sovereign law of gravity will not diminish the damage. But even for inanimate objects the law of cause and effect is true: If the specification of a certain car’s engine is to run on petrol and the owner puts accidentally diesel in it, then the engine will suffer damage.

So then, the law of cause and effect is merciless. The violation of our “specifications” has always negative consequences. And, of course, we should stop trying to define those consequences - the effect of our actions - in terms of punishment either by God or by human courts.

And some more food for thought: If we assume that the entire Creation is inseparable from God, i.e. that the Universe is, most probably, the manifestation of an evolving “God”, then when a little part of the Whole suffers, the entire Body suffers. The difference is only in the degree of suffering…

God’s Beautiful Rainbow

Posted November 9th, 2008 by
Categories: World Of Religion

Probably almost all of us have seen a rainbow in our lifetime, have you? The rainbow had a role during the great flood. God told Noah that after the flood He would send a rainbow which signifies God’s promise that He will no longer destroy the earth with flood.

A rainbow is a light phenomenon that can be seen in the sky usually after there is rain. It shows it beautiful magnificent colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. However, rainbows does not stay too long, but with its variety of colors, it is so beautiful to behold.

With modern science, a colorful rainbow can be produced in many ways. One of those is with the use of a prism. A prism is simply a triangular glass. By projecting a beam of light through the two sides of a prism, the white beam of light divides into the colorful lights the can be found in the rainbow up in the sky. Diversity of colors is beautiful to behold.

Now I fully understand what God did with the human race, By creating Adam, and through him, many different races have been formed. There are the Chinese, Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, native americans, asians, arabs, and a lot of other races that can be found in this world. The diversity of the races is a beauty to behold. Yet God did not make one race superior over the other.

The thought of racial descrimination is a result of man’s selfish desires. The thought that other races are inferior to ones race is simply an evil thing that should be suppressed. As God had said, do not judge a man by the color of his skin. Yes, God judges man by looking at the heart of man.

I am just wondering though, are there different races among the angels? Is there diversity among them? I just am wondering. But for all I know, there is beauty in diversity just like the different colors of the rainbow.

The Unrighteous Stewart

The Unrighteous Stewart

November 15th, 2005 Several years ago I heard a preacher deliver a sermon on “The Unrighteous Stewart.” The sermon was so bad that I was left feeling confused. This preacher had tried to explain that it is alright to steal as that was his understanding of this story. I knew Jesus never meant the lesson to be one of theft so I prayed and asked for HIS understanding of the story and this is what Jesus gave me. I want to share it here with you.

Luke 16:1 - 8

To understand this story we must look at the scene laid out before us. Jesus had evidently just left the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees which he had entered in chapter 14:1 to teach and eat. We see him in chapter 14:25 leaving with multitudes following him which included the Pharisees who were looking for any excuse to accuse him of breaking the law. In chapter 15:1 he is accused of receiving and eating with sinners, and Jesus again begins to teach.

It must be kept in mind that Jesus was a Jew and his earthly ministry was to the Jewish Nation. In Matthew 15:24, Jesus says “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” And in Matthew 10:5 when he sends his disciples out, he tells them, “Do not go in the way of the Gentiles.” The ministry of Jesus was a microcosm of that which the Jewish Nation should have been. Jesus being one man was going to do what the Jewish Nation as the “Chosen People” should have done. And only by being God the Son born in the flesh could he accomplish that which the children of Abraham had failed.

God had chosen the Hebrew Nation to be a witness to the world that there is but one God, a powerful God and a loving God. God manifested his power through the Jews and blessed them with the circumcision to set them apart from the Gentiles. Blessed them with the priesthood and gave to them both the written law and the oral law. God bestowed upon them blessings upon blessings. Throughout all of this the Jews began to think of themselves as the only people of God, and instead of being witnesses to the world of God, they became recluses, hoarding the gifts and blessings given to them by God. So Jesus came to be that witness so the world should not be lost. But first he had to be a witness to the very people who in the first place had been made witnesses and failed.

The story of the unrighteous steward was told for the benefit of the Pharisees who were the doctors of the law and should understand that the Blessings, Gifts and Promises which they had hoarded and squandered where now going to be given freely to all, administered under a new steward (Jesus Himself) and that while there was still time they should endeavor to give what was given to them by God to those who were to receive the blessings under the new covenant which would shortly be instituted.

Breaking down this parable by verses, we have:

Verse 1-2

Lu 16:1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. 2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

The rich man is God who is rich and freely gives of his wealth. The steward is the Jewish nation who were given the responsibility of administering the wealth of God. But because Gods wealth was being wasted, the Jews were to be replaced by a new steward (Jesus Christ).

Verse 3-7

Lu 16:3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. 4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. 5 So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? 6 And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. 7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.

Here they are being told that if they would understand this, they should plan for the future. They will no longer be in a position to take what isn’t theirs because God’s blessings would come by way of another steward. If they are not to be left out in the cold they must take that which they stole and give to them who are in debt. In that way they will be remembered when those who are in debt have the blessings and the former stewards are in debt.

Verse 8

Lu 16:8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

The Lord commends the former steward not for his unrighteousness, but because he made provisions for his future. Though he will no longer be in a position to administer the blessings from God, he can still be a partaker of those blessings.

Why I no longer celebrate Christmas

Posted November 6th, 2008 by
Categories: World Of Religion

I was blessed to grow up in Risingsun, Ohio next door to my Grandma and Grandpa Hoover on their farm that embraced where we lived, surrounding us with its loving arms on both sides (until the age of 11) and behind, with our woods over yonder a bit, that I loved to walk through as a boy, always looking for my “brother” hawk, circling overhead, to greet me.

Anyway, besides my parents, Grandma and Grandpa Hoover always made sure we had a rich Christmas celebration, in every sense of the word. We always went to their house, next door (an orchard field in between us), on Christmas eve and to my Grandma King’s in Fostoria on Christmas Day.

Grandma Vivian Hoover always made sure we had plenty of wonderful homecooked food and baked goods of every kind and different types of fudge and peanut brittle (my sister Sue and Grandpa liked it), and that we each had ten presents to open. She bought year round from mail-order catalogs and hid them upstairs somewhere. She also preferred the blue Christmas lights, like the candles in the windows, and always had us bring down the box with her artificial tree (because she was allergic to the real thing) and the horse sleigh bells to put around the front door and candy canes for the tree…

As kids, my sisters and I, we always wanted to open up our presents right away, but Grandma would leave that decision to dad to decide if we ate first or not. We ate first (which is undoubtedly wise). So I know the warm and lovely cherished Christmas memories many have, having experienced them, but once I learned that such holidays are actually pagan in origin, unclean observances that the Great Creator God of the Bible forbids His children, and that God wants us to enjoy family and friends and wonderful memories keeping His biblical festivals that are kosher, I promptly stopped keeping Christmas and started keeping God’s holy days with His blessing. Now I try and help expose Christmas is an abomination to others who might have never known otherwise!

I hope and pray for America, and our Israelites peoples everywhere who have been Gentilized in too many ways, to remember our Hebrew roots (identified at the website of Brit Am Israel) and biblical responsibilities and draw closer to our God and increasingly further away from those ways and days He strongly disapproves of since God loves us. Gnosis: The Secret of Solomon’s Temple Revealed

Posted November 5th, 2008 by
Categories: World Of Religion

Life is a journey we all have to take. We are born with no knowledge whatsoever other than some minor genetic memories, and many of us simply follow the patterns that life and our peers throw at us. We subconsciously assume we must do as our forefathers; we must follow in their footsteps; we must marry, have children, get a job, step onto the roller-coaster of commercialism and the greed oriented rat race we know as capitalism or even communism. There is seemingly no way out of this life and anyway, most of us are enthused by the chase.

All of this is perfectly natural. We are, after all, apes with less hair. We strive to be the alpha male and female; to fit in with the society or “tribe” that surrounds us. And often that society is just a larger version of our selves; it is created by groups of selves.

But, in the times gone by, our ancestors saw through all of this and recognized that there was another way. They discovered that in-order for man to elevate himself above the level of the grind-stone, he needed to alter his internal dialogue. Man needed to understand himself and the forces that drive him.

This unique understanding - that there could be a higher goal for mankind, whether collectively or individually - evolved into what we now know as Gnosticism. Of course this is a massive oversimplification and we should always take into account the mystics - those who have experienced what we would call other-worldly emotions or visions. Also, regardless of popular perception, the Christian’s were not the only Gnostics and mystics. Gnostic comes from the Greek word gignoskein meaning simply to know. It was applied to “one sect of so-called philosopher’s in the first ages of Christianity.”

However, the term is now being used more loosely and I personally see the term slightly differently to others and probably in a controversial light.

To me the Greek term implies all-knowledge. This is a kind of knowledge gained much like plugging ones mind into the world wide web and being able to download every single piece of data in an instant. In the same way, the true Gnostic, much like the mystic, could understand all things in a unique way. Whether this is the mind tapping into the collective unconscious, the Akashic records, or any other name given to the process, does not matter for the purpose of this article, the fact remains, it was believed. And because of this belief, physical manifestations of the internal belief system emerged the world over. In this way, the temples of man, were exactly that - Temples of Man.

Gnosis then, means knowledge of the most esoteric kind and this is the story that has been hidden from our eyes for too long. This is the truth of the secret societies that we on the outside are supposedly too worldly to comprehend.

The Temple

So, let us now try our best to comprehend the Temple of Solomon and in doing so, let us walk upon Holy ground, trodden only by the initiated.

In the years of my own searching there were times when I would be found at the feet of the Magi, sitting and listening to the wise words of the Sufi, joining in the debate at some Freemasonic Lodge. All the time I was learning and viewing the process with an open ear and an open eye, and yet also balancing it all with the knowledge of modern day science and reductionism. Both worlds, the one of the esoteric and the one of science are useless apart - both are needed today if we are to truly understand and believe.

And so down to facts about the Temple of Solomon. Well, unfortunately we are sadly lacking in any archaeological evidence, regardless of what you read on some literal fundamentalist website. What we are told is that in the 10th century BC, the wise King Solomon erected a great Temple to the Lord. Unfortunately, if any of this is true, then we actually find that it was a Temple, which encompassed many pagan religions.

According to Professor James Pritchard in his book, Solomon and Sheba (1974, p.35): “.. the so-called cities of Megiddo, Gezer and Hazor, and Jerusalem itself were in reality more like villages.. Within were relatively small public buildings and poorly constructed dwellings with clay floors. The objects reveal a material culture which, even by the standards of the ancient Near East, could not be judged sophisticated or luxurious.. The ‘magnificence’ of the age of Solomon is parochial and decidedly lackluster, but the first book of Kings implies exactly the opposite.”

In fact and in the bright light of day, what we actually have, and what most writers are afraid to say, is no evidence whatsoever for Solomon’s Temple. In fact, we have no evidence for Solomon, other than these peculiar Biblical texts. Neither do we have any evidence for the Queen of Sheba, or any of the other characters involved. Instead, there is more depth than could ever be imagined, more meaning than we would dare to believe.

John Michell in The Temple at Jerusalem: A Revelation, (Gothic Image) gives us an insight to the real meaning.:

“Legends of the Temple describe it as the instrument of a mystical, priestly science, a form of alchemy by which oppositely charged elements in the earth and atmosphere were brought together and ritually married. The product of their union was a spirit that blessed and sanctified the people of Israel.”

How right Michell is. The Temple is an instrument of mystical and priestly science or even magic. The secret unravels before our eyes the more we learn. You see the true Gnostic, the true disciple or perfect one, must be a man or woman of balance. He or she must unite the two sides of the mind, the male and female principles as they are called. We are all both male and female and the alchemists used this concept of balance and revealed it in their images of the Hermaphrodite, half man and half woman.

Solomon, was no real man, and Sheba was no real woman. Instead they were symbols of this internal and often external process. The whole story of Solomon, Sheba and the Temple, which is the perfectly formed body, both physical and spiritual, is the story of our own psyche. It is an esoteric truth, misunderstood in its exoteric form.

Hiram

Hiram was the son of a Jewish mother and a Phoenician father and is credited with the decoration of the Temple of Solomon. He was said to have been the “son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali… He cast two bronze pillars” 1 Kings 7:13-15.

We must also note something of interest mentioned in 1 Kings 16:

“Then he made two capitals of cast bronze, to set on top of the pillars. The height of one capital was 5 cubits; and the height of the other capital was five cubits. He made a lattice network, with wreaths of chainwork, for the capitals which were on top of the pillars: seven chains for one capital and seven for the other capital.”

These pillars became known as Jachin, meaning “he establishes” and Boaz, which means “in him is strength” and these are now familiar to most modern Freemasons as central to their own Lodge or Temple. Copies of these can be clearly seen at the infamous Rosslyn Chapel as we shall discover.

But, what is interesting here is the original text about these pillars. Firstly bronze is used for the capitals, just as bronze is used for the “Brazen Serpent” of Moses and is indicative of the fiery aspect of the serpent as one of the channels in the Kundalini process. Their “heights” were 5 cubits, matching the five hooded cobras seen across India and atop many pillars, although the Bible calls them Lilies, which are symbols of balance anyway.

Leading up to these capitals then were “wreaths” of “chainwork”, seven on each pillar. Strangely these chains were “for the capitals,” and so we conclude that these seven levelled chains (coils) were pointing towards the head (capital) just as the serpents of the Kundalini do.

There are more real links between Hiram and the serpent. For instance, we noted above that he was of the Tribe of Naphtali. The standard of the Tribe of Naphtali, according to Jewish tradition, is a serpent or basilisk and this could have come from Egyptian origins, as Jewish tradition states that Naphtali was the brother of Joseph, chosen to represent the family to Pharaoh.

“And now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, Huram [Hiram] my master [father] craftsman, (the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre), skilled to work in gold and silver, bronze and iron, stone and wood, purple and blue, fine linen and crimson, and to make any engraving and to accomplish any plan which may be given to him, with your skilful men and with the skilful men of my lord David your father.” 2 Chronicles 2:13-14.

Here, Hiram is said to be a son of the Tribe of Dan and even the tribe of Dan had an emblem, which was amazingly also the serpent, this time with a horse.

Incredibly there is also a hidden truth and repetitive pattern in this little statement about the real skills of this literary character. Follow this pattern:

Hiram is skilled in:-

1 gold and silver, 2 bronze and iron, 3 stone and wood, 4 purple and blue, 5 fine linen and crimson, 6 and to make any engraving 7 and to accomplish any plan which may be given to him.

Note that there are seven ‘balanced’ elements to the skill of the man who will build the Temple! This is a real clue to the Temple’s secret indeed.

According to this book of Chronicles Hiram was a cunning man (a word used for the serpent) endued with understanding, skilful as we can see in the work of gold, silver, brass, stone and timber. But he was also credited with certain tools, which could pierce stone. Stone, as I show in Gnosis is symbolic of wisdom and foundation. Hiram’s tool therefore pierced the veil or even the very root of wisdom.

According to the book of Kings the Temple was built of stone (or wisdom) before it was brought to the site. Something like a prefabricated building. It was said by tradition that neither hammer nor axe, nor any tool of iron was used in the building. So how was it built? This in itself is a paradox, which can only be answered by the true secret of the Temple being revealed.

According to Rabbinical teaching the prefabrication of the Temple was performed by the Shamir, a giant worm or serpent that could cut stones (incidentally worm means serpent). Not dissimilar to Norse and Celtic beliefs where Valhalla and Camelot were built with the fire of the dragon and in China where building is aided by the serpent energy.

This is a universal concept as can be seen in India, where it was the serpentine linked Naga’s of fable who escaped their country and took the architectural wisdom abroad. The architect gods, such as Thoth of Egypt, are linked strongly with the serpent wisdom because they are linked with the building of “Temples of Wisdom” inside our SELVES.

The Shamir, according to one legend had even been placed in the hands of the Prince of the Sea (Shamir by Wilhelm Bacher & Ludwig Blau), which of course is symbolic of the Prince of Wisdom.

In essence what we really have here is the Temple of Wisdom being built by the serpent and that serpent is none other than that of, or similar to, the internal Kundalini, later to be developed into the Kabbalah. This is a psychological training manual; a method of self-improvement; a way for society to become One; a multi-layered method of getting closer to the deity which resides in each and everyone of us; a deity, that the ancients saw as being the same in each of us.

The whole process repeats again and again throughout the Bible. The Temple is reduced (like the alchemical method) and is remade. Then again and again, until finally the Christ is the Temple which is reduced (killed) and then rises again for the last time. And now, according to the texts, we can all meet with this Christ and we can all have the knowledge. We just need to understand that the true Christ is all and in all.

But this wasn’t the end of the story ………
